Guided by a clear philosophy and global mission— “Teaching the World to Sew & Design at a Professional Level.” (Scroll for program details.)
With a teaching legacy dating back to 1989, Mr. Stiles’ fashion training programs have become a destination for serious students seeking true professional garment-construction mastery, not hobby-based instruction. Programs are offered at three established locations—Oak Park, Palos Hills, and Joliet—and consistently draw committed students from across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana who want to learn correctly, precisely, and at a professional standard.
The instruction reflects professional and bespoke tailoring methods that are rarely accessible outside focused training environments. These are the foundational techniques used by skilled garment makers—methods that eliminate trial-and-error and replace it with understanding, control, and repeatable results.
Students at every level are welcome, from those who have never used a sewing machine to experienced sewers and designers refining fit, precision, and high-level technique. Instruction is intentionally structured around professional standards, guiding students through a clear, progressive pathway toward industry-level execution and comprehension.
Each program is deliberately designed to produce measurable, career-relevant outcomes: controlled precision sewing, accurate and consistent fit, advanced garment construction, and professional tailoring techniques. Students develop the ability to work with confidence and intention, replacing guesswork with mastery and building skills that support career advancement, independent work, and long-term professional growth.
To preserve the depth, rigor, and quality of instruction, enrollment is intentionally limited by design. As a result, programs reach capacity every semester, with waiting lists forming before public registration opens. Many students continue for multiple semesters, advancing through progressively higher levels of training as part of a sustained professional development path.
