You must have completed Sewing/Construction parts #1, #2 & #3 and Pattern Drafting parts
#1, #2 & #3 before enrolling into this class. To register for this class,

Sewing/Construction and Pattern Drafting Parts #1 & #2
Classes Are Available Through All Colleges.

This Advanced class consists of 8 sessions of classes for 6 weeks,

(1 session per week for 4 weeks and 2 sessions per week for 2 weeks.)
Fee: $96.00

1st Week Sessions
1. Marking out and cutting the Skirt fabric and the needed pieces.

2nd Week Sessions
1. Marking out and cutting the Skirt lining and the needed pieces.

3rd Week Sessions
1. Marking and making the front pockets, prepairing the
waistband and zipper placket

4th Week Sessions
1. Practice Serging and then Serging the skirt fabric and lining.
2. Tack, baste and sew the center back and center front seams, fabric
and lining. Practice first, and then make the pocket Bar tacks.

5th Week Sessions
1. Making and installing the front zipper.
2. Tack, baste and sew the side seams, fabric and lining.
2a. Baste and sew the waistband to the skirt.

6th Week Sessions
1. Mark the placement of the hem, true the edge, and serge.
1a. Baste the hems of the fabric and lining.
1b. Make adjustment for the center back slit on fabric and lining.

2. Hem the skirt fabric and lining.
2a. Finish the waist band and put on the skirt hooks.
2b. PRESS, PRESS AND FINISH !

Finally you made a great skirt pattern
You put together the muslin sample

Made the necessary pattern adjustments
Performed the needed alterations:

Now it is time to make that great looking and fitting skirt with front pockets and front zipper.
This is the beginning type of custom skirt. Yes, it's a wonderful skirt, but later you will learn to
make the Skirts like the major designer's, Armani and Ralph Lauren to name a few.

When making this skirt, it is a great idea to make 2 skirts at the same time. Don't worry,
you can handle it. NO BABIES are allowed in this class, just Designers.

the clothing construction secrets of the European and Domestic designers. In this advanced
class, you will construct a custom skirt, with front zipper closure, with or
without a back slit and front pockets.
