Session #1
Class Date: February 10, 2025
Focuses on establishing essential sewing fundamentals. Students will learn proper sitting posture
to ensure comfort and efficiency while working at the machine. The session also covers threading
the sewing machine and introduces four special techniques for threading the needle, helping
students develop precision and confidence in handling their equipment.
To build strong foundational skills, students will practice 1-2-3 drills without using thread,
emphasizing control, coordination, and mastering the machine's basic operations before
moving on to more advanced tasks.
Session #2
Class Date: February 24, 2025
Focuses on enhancing precision with four specialized accuracy sewing drills using threaded
machines. Students will practice maintaining consistent stitch lengths, straight lines, and
smooth curves to improve control and craftsmanship.
Additionally, the session includes marking and cutting fabric pieces for four essential seams.
These pieces will be critical for the next course, Sewing/Tailoring #102, where students
will advance their construction skills by assembling and perfecting these seams

This course includes 2 sessions, with each session priced at $12.00.
Session #1
Class Date: March 10, 2025
In this session, students will use the fabric pieces from the previous class to begin constructing
the first two seams. Emphasis will be placed on mastering precise stitching techniques, including
achieving consistent stitch length, even tension, and smooth transitions between fabric pieces.
Students will also learn how to properly align the seams to ensure they are straight, even, and
durable, which is crucial for a strong foundation in garment construction. By the end of the
session, students will understand how to create clean, professional-looking seams
that lay flat and withstand wear.
Session #2
Class Date: March 24, 2025
Building on the skills learned in Session #1, students will focus on constructing the remaining
two seams, refining their technique for greater precision and durability. This session will also
introduce the important skill of marking and cutting fabric pieces for the first pocket,
known as the Watch Pocket.
Students will learn how to properly measure, mark, and cut the pocket pieces to ensure accurate
placement and alignment. These foundational skills will prepare students for proper assembly in
future projects, where the pocket will be seamlessly incorporated into the garment, ensuring
both functionality and a professional finish.
