One of the key elements to grasp in the sewing profession is understanding fit—how
to assess it, adjust it, and comprehend the importance of those adjustments.

In our workshop, you'll learn the art of fitting garments like a pro. Bring along three garments
approved by the instructor for hands-on practice. I will professionally fit each garment and I will
explain the needed adjustments and explain the why behind each change. The alterations of the
garments are not covered in the Fitting workshop only in the Alteration workshop.

While you may have the knowledge to complete alterations at home, others may require additional
guidance. That's where our Alteration workshop comes in handy. Sign up in our Alterations Workshop

While alterations from elsewhere are welcome, the final fit cannot be guaranteed.

Please note, the alteration class is tailored for intermediate to advanced sewers. If you're new
to quality clothing construction or lack expert training, we recommend starting with our beginner
sewing/tailoring and pattern making classes. While some alterations may seem daunting, with patience
and guidance from the instructor, you'll excel. Additionally, practicing alterations, at home, on your
own clothing can greatly enhance your knowledge and skills.

Doing this will also add to your development of questions for the instructor. Keep in mind that certain
