Sewing/Tailoring #103

What You Will Learn In This Class:
Mark and cut the needed pieces for the 2 Stitch Pads For Your 5 Different Hand Stitches
Marking the parts with tailor's chalk or marking pencil
Learning to Work with the thimble and needle

1st. hand stitch, the Overcast
2nd. hand stitch, the Basting
3rd. hand stitch, the Single Herringbone
4th. hand stitch, the Flat Basting
5th. hand stitch, the Cross

Stitching with the needle and using the thimble will be needed for the remainder of classes
In the next class you will start and complete your second pocket the Quarter Top. It is
highly recommended to taking the Pattern Drafting class with this class, to enhance and
maximize your skills. You always have the option of continuing with the series for the
more advanced classes which will allow you to further enhance and develop your skills.

before sewing, sew the pieces, trim the seam and pressing the seams open.

Draping is the oldest and longest continuous means of designing clothing.
