A garment should complement the body — not fight against it.

All levels — from non-sewers to advanced sewers — who want cleaner, more accurate, and more professional results. Learn professional fitting methods for both men and women, including proper client fitting etiquette — what to do, what to say, and what to avoid during a fitting. This session focuses strictly on professional fitting techniques. No sewing machines required. (No beading or bridal instruction.)

There will be NO sewing in this class—leave machines at home.
NO guest are allowed
NO food is allowed
Please be on time.
We start promptly and we will NOT start over for late arrivals.
Limited seating.
Register early. No late registrations will be accepted.
No bridal gowns or beaded garments.
Everyday 2 garments only (pants, skirts, jackets, shirts, blouses, everyday dresses).

Workshop Details

Hands-on fitting instruction + Q&A.

What You Will Learn

  • How to take accurate measurements (men & women) and read body proportions
  • How to spot fit problems (pulling, twisting, sagging, tightness)
  • Professional pinning techniques for clean, accurate adjustments
  • Sleeve, shoulder, waist, hip, and length fitting for common garments
  • Client fittings: what to do and say—and what NOT to do
  • Bonus: 30-minute Q&A — bring questions, 2 maximum

What To Bring

  • Straight pins
  • Tape measure
  • 2 everyday garments you want to learn how to fit hem and why you are doing that (no bridal)
  • Tablet or notebook for notes
  • A wonderful, creative mind that is open to learning

This workshop is fitting-focused. No sewing and no machines.

Eric W. Stiles Sr. is a Master Bespoke Tailor and Designer with over 40 years of experience in high-end fashion and garment construction. He has worked with renowned fashion houses including Brioni, Giorgio Armani, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Tom Ford. Known for his precision, craftsmanship, and supportive teaching style, Mr. Stiles has guided aspiring designers and industry professionals in a practical, stress-free learning environment.
