THIS HIGHLY ADVANCED CLASS IS NOT FOR BEGINNING SEWERS !!!

Sewing/Tailoring & Pattern Making classes

LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF THE THINGS YOU WILL LEARN IN CLASS:

Eric W Stiles Sr., the founder and instructor, has over 40 years of experience.
He was formerly Supervisor, MTM Expert and Master Bespoke Tailor for: Brioni,
Giorgio Armani & Polo-Ralph Lauren and many others. Mr. Stiles will teach you
how the Italian expert master bespoke tailor's make their custom suit jacket.

This highly advanced series of classes will teach you what most master tailor
have protected from you for years, proper knowledge of tailoring. This know-
ledge is what separates the knowing from the unknowing, aka, dry cleaner tailor.
Mr. Stiles visit Italy and was taught some of the newest skills and techniques
that are now used to replace the old ways of tailoring. Keep in mind, that
nothing has been omitted, but just improved. Learn how to draft a master
tailor's coat pattern.

You will also learn what to do with this pattern once it has been drafted.
Watch this expert and learn the precise method of constructing your sample
coat. Create a custom collar and how to prepare it and the armholes for
the sleeves. Learn the art of basting in the canves and the master
tailor's techniques for basting together the jacket.

Learn the correct skills needed, as well as, the technique for basting on a
collar and how to hang a sleeve. After the jacket has been basted for the
try-on and the sleeves and collar are in place, this is when the shoulder
pads and the sleeve head are inserted. Once this sample jacket has been
completed it is then ready for a series of Try-ons.

These try-ons are the heart and soulof the jacket. The tailor must know
during these fitting what adjustment are needed and what alterations should
be done. This is the area that most unskilled tailors begin their mistakes.
If they do not know what to do here, they should just become a tailor for
some dry cleaner. Sorry but this is the place where a many of untrained
tailors end up.

Once the jacket has been professional fitted and all of the alterations
have been made, on the jacket and the pattern, it is then time to prepare
your fabric, lining, canves, pocketing, under collar cloth and under collar
canves. This is a very important time for a master bespoke tailor. He
knows this is a make or break point and they must be very,
very careful from here on.

You created a great pattern, put together the muslin sample, made the necessary
pattern adjustments and performed the needed alterations, now it is time to make
that great looking and fitting garment. These are a great starter garments, but
later in more advanced classes you will learn to make the major designers type.
When making these garments, it is a great idea to make a second one at the same time.

Do not worry, you can handle it. NO BABIES are allowed in this class, just designers.
Eric W. Stiles Sr., master tailor will show you how to construct a great custom
garments. Learn some of the clothing construction secrets of the European and
Domestic designers. We will show you step by step detailed instructions.
